Adriana Alcázar González
Adriana Alcázar González joined Global Press in Mexico in 2006. She was part of the first class of Global Press reporters. After an 8-year break, she returned to Global Press in 2014. Adriana has reported on problems such as the effects of climate change on the lives of Chiapas peasants, diseases caused by rust in coffee production, and projects such as the perception of locals and US presidential elections.
After studying social anthropology, Adriana had her first experience with the media by participating as a speaker on a community radio. Working as a Global Press reporter has enabled her to grow personally and professionally. Adriana says, “being at Global Press allows me to tell stories from the voices of the locals and put them in dialogue with researchers, experts and even the authorities in search of telling the truth.”
